Snow Day

I'm lying in my bed reading

with the heater going

with my kids snugly watching TV in the living room after playing outside in the snow.

My bed is cozy

in my messy little room

with the clean white ceiling fan above, after its dirtiness had bothered me for weeks.

I see tiny snowflakes falling outside.

Christmas is on the calendar,

I have Jesus in my heart,

and I feel completely happy.

Lord, help me remember this season of my life.

One day, things may not be so perfect.

Help me treasure the times that were.
